Walks in a privileged environment
From our privileged location, you can enjoy relaxing walks by the sea. Walks that can take you to the nearby fishing village of Baiona, whose old town was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1993. A must-see is the fortress of Monterreal, a well-preserved walled enclosure that is also a fantastic vantage point over the local port and the Atlantic.
In addition, in the vicinity you will find hiking trails that lead to great viewpoints, offering spectacular views of the coast.
One of these nearby routes will allow you to visit the old J4 battery, where you can see the cannons that give character to the landscape of the mountain surrounding the hotel.

Visit charming villages
Nearby, in A Guarda, is one of the most spectacular and most visited corners of the Galician coast. With the Atlantic Ocean and the Miño river estuary at its feet is the imposing Citania de Santa Tecla of enormous archaeological value. Don’t forget to take your camera to immortalize the moment of sunset from the top, a true spectacle of light and color if the day is clear.
A short distance away is Tui, a city declared a historical-artistic site. Tui is, above all, its walled cathedral that had an important cultural, economic and military life. Always aware of what was happening in neighboring Portugal – sometimes friend, sometimes enemy –
The old streets form a network from the banks of the river Miño that goes up towards its fortress cathedral, which gives the city a unique profile. The image of the old international bridge that connects it with Valença, the river at its feet and the cathedral at the top of the hill, is already an icon repeated in thousands of photographs taken by pilgrims from all over the world.
Or cities with history
The Hotel is the ideal base for discovering the heart of the Rías Baixas. From here, you can take trips to places of great cultural interest such as Combarro, Pontevedra or enjoy the proximity of Vigo, a city with a vibrant cultural and leisure offering, or travel by car or high-speed train to Santiago de Compostela, a World Heritage City. There, although its monumental beauty tries to capture all eyes, the Praza do Obradoiro and its surroundings are the most emotionally intense places in all of Galicia.
Seeing the “Botafumeiro” swinging, visiting the tomb of the Apostle, and marveling at the Portico de la Gloria should be understood as special experiences at the end of the Camino.
Countless places have been left out. Each corner has its own history and charm, we invite you to discover them.
The adventure has only just begun!
